Eco-life Gizmos are not only designed to be fun but make great additions to the classroom.  They have been successfully used by teachers in schools, FE colleges, universities and employer training centres to enhance the learning experience.

We know that young people are concerned about the environment and are keen to do their bit, but it can be a very dry subject.  Bring green issues to life with one of our gizmos and create fun in the classroom, while helping children and students understand the science behind renewable energy.

If you work in a nursery or special school, take a look at our special range of younger children’s gizmos, ideal for both pre-school ages and children with special needs.

Eco-life gizmos are often invited to schools to demonstrate the science of renewable energy.  We can help in lessons, assemblies or special workshops and often exhibit at school fairs.  If you are interested in finding out more, contact us now.

Ways our gizmos can help

·         Practical support for the teaching of science and technology.

·         Teaching specific skills: logic, following written instructions, construction skills and cooperative teamwork.

·         Demonstrating renewable energy and increasing awareness of energy consumption issues.

·         Practical support in working towards an Eco Schools Award

·         Practical equipment and experiments for a science week or a science summer school

·        Demonstrating sustainable construction techniques.

We can source a wide range of renewable energy science and demonstration kits and teaching aids - making learning relevant and fun.  Here's what some or our customers have to say:

“ I have used The Power House for two years running for Summer School as well as Curriculum Enhancement days in school.  The kit is excellent - engages the students over a wide age range (Year 4 up to Year 9) and allows itself to be adapted for different abilities as well as enabling extension activities for faster workers. The company itself is excellent and very adaptable and willing to let me try things. Overall, I wish more companies supplying education had this quality of kit as well as being so proactive, approachable and helpful."        Rob McCorkill, Deputy Head, Gravesend Grammar School

“The solar tractor would make an excellent addition to Design Technology and Science teaching in key stage 2 classes and add to pupils understanding of solar power and the benefits of green energy.”   Year 4/5 Primary School teacher

"We really appreciated your help in finding suitable science kits for our primary school's renewable energy boxes. Thank you so much for sending the samples so promptly and all your good advice and suggestions."   Liz Balharry, The Educational Resource Partnership.

"I just wanted to say a huge thank you for your support in helping make the Show yesterday the huge success it was.  The Activity Zone proved extremely popular with the children in particular!  The feedback we have already had has been brilliant - even bigger and better than last year apparently!  The Show is a joint effort and we really do appreciate the support from orgainsiations to make the event as diverse and interesting for the children and teachers as possible."  Helen Roberts, Senior Events Co-ordinator, Keep Britain Tidy
